What is DALRC, Inc?
DALRC, INC. is our legislative watch dog. DALRC is a membership organization with dues paid by the members. We use the money to maintain our legislative watch so we can lobby to be sure we are heard when legislation for pensions, benefits or other issues of interest to our membership comes along. We have been effective in a variety of lobbying efforts since the bankruptcy and need to be prepared to do more in the future. It is important that we keep this up because of the huge changes coming up in 2012.
DALRC is incorporated as a not for profit organization in the State of Delaware and has an IRS 501(c)(5) tax status as a labor organization. As a 501(c)(5) DALRC is allowed to lobby for causes and legislation, but is not allowed to sponsor an individual politician. Membership dues or donations to DALRC, Inc. are not tax deductible.

Ownership And Participation
A major requirement for an organization such as DALRC to succeed is for the membership to have a feeling of ownership, of involvement, and of the personal worth of the individual to the group. Secondly, the members must be confident that they have a say in the organization, that their input is not only welcome, it is solicited.
We believe that the task before us is to build a shining city on a hill, a platform founded on hope for the future and confidence in our own ability. We are the ones who laid the foundation for the company that became the largest airline in the entire world. If we can do that, a paltry shining city on a hill is a piece of cake!
Each of us, along with thousands of other Delta retirees, can make a difference! There is strength in numbers and “Gray Power” is not just a cute marketing slogan. In the best tradition of C.E. Woolman, we will remember our roots; we will be benevolent where needed, tough when required, and always respectful of others.
If you are already a member of DALRC we thank you for your support. If you are not a member, we invite to join with us.
